Tales from the Odyssey
I was very lucky to take part in this year's London Literary Festival and the Southbank Centre.
I worked with storytellers Wendy Shearer and Andy Copps, providing illustrations for a cut down version of The Odyssey.
It was a real challenge as Greek mythology isn't something I've worked with before. Working collaboratively and live on stage also taught me a few new things and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Alex, Southbank Centre: "We were very happy with the event and it was lovely to have so many audiences enjoying it across the weekend."

Splendid skies!
I was very happy to be invited to visit the year 1 pupils at Beddington Infants' School to help with their topic of 'Splendid skies'. We talked about colour and then they coloured their own posters expressing stormy, summery and sunset skies.
Thank you to all the year 1 artists and their teachers for letting me visit your inspirational school. Keep up the good work and here's a few of the lovely posters.

I'm causing CAOS!
I'm very excited to be involved in an exciting new event...CAOS!
Carshalton Artists Open Studios will see artists doors opening 24/25 June and 1/2 July, including the new studio that I share with my husband, Neal Vaughan who is the driving force behind the event.
I'll be displaying my art as well as sharing and discussing how I work. I'll also be popping into Calladoodles for a chat and a glass of bubbly on 30th June!

Back to school (again!)
I'd like to say another thank you to the staff and pupils at Stanley Park Infant's School for welcoming me back to visit this year's year one classes.
Again they were inspiring to talk to and enthusiastic with their ideas and questions. They'd been learning about the seasons and we shared how we can use colour to express each season.
They'd also been learning about flowers so I left with a list of ideas for new flower poster designs! Thank you Tigers, Giraffes and Zebras and I look forward to another visit next year!

New designs for a new venture!
To celebrate the opening of the new 'Dotty's Teahouse' I've come up with 3 new designs in keeping with their passion for tea and cake.
Each design is now available as poster prints, cards and postcards. They also asked me to decorate the blackboard in their front window!

Back to school
Thank you to the Year 1 teachers and children at Stanley Park Infant School for welcoming me into their classes to see their lovely artwork. They've recently been painting trees in the 4 seasons inspired by my Carshalton poster designs.
It was fantastic to see how enthusistic they were and to hear them talk about their work.
It made me feel very lucky to be in a position to inspire them.
Below are 4 of the designs coloured by the children to show their favourite seasons.
Thank you Year 1, I love them!
