Live music sketches

I love to sketch musicians performing live, capturing their poses and expressions. Below is a selection from various sketchbooks using pencil, watercolour pencil, graphic markers and white pens.

Here are some examples of my process from pencil into digital colour from some Open Mic Night performances.

I sketch the live performance in pencil, sometimes watercolour pencil.

​

Then I digitally colour the sketch to give it more colour and energy.
